Frequently asked questions.
How fermented is your bread?
The final mix, proof, and ferment process is 12-24 hours prior to bake. The entire process starts 3 days earlier. If you are looking at this for health reasons, 95% of the flour in each loaf is fermented at least 12 hours and 5% is 36 hours and longer. 100 % of the flour in each loaf is fermented, with nothing added after the fermentation process that might cause digestive issues. For many of our customers with wheat or gluten sensitivities, this process enables them to eat our bread with no issues (according to feedback we have received!)
How do I change my subscription?
Unfortunately, our website does not let you edit your subscription from your account (we hope this changes someday), so you will have to cancel your current subscription and resubscribe again with the desired frequency and amount. We always look into canceled subscriptions and will reimburse you for any remaining deliveries! If you are not contacted or reimbursed within a few days, absolutely reach out to us! If you only want to change your sliced preferences, just email us or submit a form on our contact page and we will update our list. Your subscription receipts may still say your old preference, but it will be correct on our delivery list.
I need to cancel my subscription. Will I continue to receive the bread through the month I paid for or can I be reimbursed?
We will email you to double check if you would like the paid weekly deliveries that remain or if you would like to be reimbursed. If we do not hear a response from you, we will default to refunding you.
I am out of town for some of my deliveries, what are my options?
Have friends/family/neighbors pick up your bread from your porch and “take care of it” or store it for you.
Contact us with an alternate name and delivery address for the duration of your absence. (What a fun surprise and blessing this can be, we’ve had a few customers choose this option.)
Depending on our freezer capacity, we may be able to freeze your bread and deliver all of your missed loaves when you return. This is not always an option for us as our business changes and grows, so make sure to contact us!
We can just reimburse you for deliveries that you do not want to receive, we just need to know beforehand. If we deliver bread to you and you notify us after the fact, we will not reimburse you for that week. Please note that a few months have 5 delivery weeks in them, but you are only charged for 4 weekly deliveries every month. We will not reimburse a missed bonus week.
